Communist Party formed in China

The revolution in Russia, the translation of the works of Karl Marx and the rise of a student movement have led to the formation this month of a Chinese Communist Party. The inaugural meeting, held at a girls' school in Shanghai, called for the "overthrow of the capitalist class". Among those who attended the meeting was Mao Tse-tung, who is a library assistant and primary school teacher.
